While tortoises mainly eat leafy greens and other plants, adding the right hay can boost their fibre intake and encourage natural foraging behaviour. The best hay for tortoises is usually Meadow Hay or Timothy Hay, as both are high in fibre, low in protein and gentle on their digestive systems.
